The 7th annual Lumpkin County
Literacy Coalition Spelling Bee took place Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2011 at the Holly Theatre in Dahlonega. Winning the competition was the Dreem Team, who also won in 2009. Congratulations to the winners and a special Thank You to our sponsors, our participants, our audience, and our volunteers.
A major fundraiser for the LCLC, the Spelling Bee pitted 15 teams against each other in spelling words from the Scripps National Spelling Bee list.
